Vaibhavi Upadhyaya, renowned for her role as Jasmine in the popular television series "Sarabhai vs Sarabhai: Take 2," tragically passed away in a road accident in Himachal Pradesh.

The accident occurred when her car, a Fortuner, veered off the road and fell into a ravine. It happened while navigating a sharp curve.

Vaibhavi's fiancé was also traveling with her in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

According to the police, Vaibhavi attempted to exit the vehicle through the window, resulting in a fatal head injury.

The last rites of the 30-year-old actor will be conducted in Mumbai on Wednesday.

J.D. Majethia, the producer of "Sarabhai vs Sarabhai," shared the news of Vaibhavi's demise on his Instagram Story, expressing shock and sorrow.

Cast members of the show also took to social media to pay tribute to the late actor and express their grief.

Apart from her role in "Sarabhai vs Sarabhai," Vaibhavi was involved in projects such as "CityLights," "Please Find Attached," "Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka," and "Sanrachna." She also appeared in shows like "CID" and "Adaalat."

In 2020, she had the opportunity to work alongside Deepika Padukone in the film "Chhapaak" and was also seen in the web series "Zero KMS" alongside Naseeruddin Shah.

Vaibhavi's portrayal of Jasmine Mawani, known for her humorous Gujarati-to-English translations, in "Sarabhai vs Sarabhai" left a lasting impression on the viewers. Her character was loved for the catchphrase "Khot nat kehti (I speak the truth)" and her spirited interactions with the show's iconic Maya Sarabhai (Ratna Pathak Shah).
